What is a Surface Finish System?
Surface finish systems are designed to check micro finish on parts these utilize specific stylus usually with Dimond tracing tips and a drive unit to move the stylus across the part being checked. They can be skidded (checking roughness ) or skidless to check roughness and waviness along with profiles. There are a variety of units in production hand held usually using Microprocessors for portability and large systems for the lab with sophisticated software programs on a PC.
