What is a Surface Finish Gage?
Handheld surface finish gages are designed to check micro finish on parts, these utilize specific stylus usually with Dimond tracing tips and a drive unit to move the stylus across the part being checked. These are skidded units checking roughness. There are a variety of units in production handheld usually using Microprocessors for portability.
